What is Nata Exam 

The Council of Architecture (COA) conducts National Aptitude Test in Architecture ( NATA ) to measure the aptitude of the applicant for admission to First year of five year B.Arch Degree at all recognized institutions all over India. By conducting NATA, COA provides a single scheme of examination to hold aptitude test & facilitate prospective students from all over India to apply for admission in architecture seats in Institutions & colleges spread across India.

Nata Exam is in two parts. A paper based drawing test & a computer based online test. The Nata Score is generally available on the website ( in e-format ) on the fourth working day after the test. A candidate should score at least 80/200, in order to be eligible for admission into first year of 5 -year B.Arch degree course.

Nata score is valid for a period of two years from the year in which the applicant appeared for NATA. Nata can be given for a maximum of five times by the candidates during the period when their last scorecard is valid.

But the marklist will show the best marks scored by the candidate in his / her previous 5 attempts.

Why must you Apply for Nata Exam. 

This is a qualifying exam for students who wish to join B.Arch course after 12th standard. If you prepare through sample papers, mock test, self study books and material for NATA preparation, surely you will crack this exam with flying colours.
All Architecture colleges accept NATA score for admission. Percentage of 12th standard will also be considered for admission.
NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is conducted by Council of Architect (COA) through its academic unit National Institute of Advance Studies in Architecture (NIASA-PUNE) . This organization NIASA conducts NATA exam through out India at prescribed test centers. Generally Architecture college near to you may be offering NATA test. We provide you with syllabus and details which will help you in preparation for NATA entrance exam for B.Arch course.
NATA test has two papers.

1. Aesthetic Sensitivity Test :- 100 Marks. (One Hour) This test is carried out online at test centers.
2. Drawing Test :- 100 Marks. (Two Hours) This test will be conducted after you finish first test at same test center.
To crack NATA exam, you have to score 80 Marks out of 200 Total Marks of both papers.

Eligibility for Nata Exam 

Candidates who have passed SSC ( Std X ) or equivalent examination & above can appear for NATA. Candidates eligible for admission to B.Arch. Course - Candidates having minimum 50% marks in 10+2 ( or equivalent examination) with mathematics as one of the subjects and having scored at least 80/200 are eligible for admission into first year of 5 -year B.Arch degree course.
The candidate desirous of taking admission should submit his / her Nata Score & Std. XII mark list to any of the participating institutions as per their admission schedule along with the required documents.

How to Apply for Nata Exam 

Log on to the website http://www.nata.in
Important Documents: Keep the following documents ready.
1. JPG image of your photo
2. Photo ID proof
3. Std. Tenth Marksheet
Visit " Nata Profile " Section & fill up the details in the form. Also upload the photo files
Payment of Fees: Pay fee of Rs. 1250 ( processing charges extra ) either through credit card / netbanking / ICICI Isure bank Challan
Choice of Date : Select a convenient date to appear for Nata.
Go to My Nata Forms & click Book Appointments
Choosing a Test Centre : Locate a region most convenient to you for booking an appointment. You will be allotted the test centre on availability of your selected date within that region.
Appear for NATA on the registered date. Carry a valid ID, appointment voucher & stationary to appear for the test
